As Senior Vice President, COO, U.S. Global Banking and Markets at Scotiabank, and serves on the Scotia Capital (USA) Inc. Board of Directors, Kay Lazidis is responsible for leading and implementing the U.S. strategic agenda as well as overall day-to-day operations.

Kay is a champion of the Bank’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy and serves as a member of the U.S. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. She is also Chair of the Process Improvement Initiative, designed to build and enhance programs that attract, promote, and retain diverse and inclusive groups.

Kay joined Scotiabank in February 2020 as U.S. Global Capital Markets COO. In this role, she was responsible for driving and executing strategy across the U.S. Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC), Equities, and Prime Services businesses. Prior to joining Scotiabank, Kay held several positions at Barclays over a tenure of 16 years, including Chief of Staff to the Americas CEO.

She holds an MBA from Fordham University with a dual concentration in IT and Finance, and lives in New Jersey with her husband and two young children.
