Janelle Bieler
President and Country Head,
Adecco Canada
In my career I have learned that the ladder to success works both ways. As women, we must be equally focused on climbing up and reaching down to pull other women up alongside us.
Janelle Bieler was appointed Adecco Canada’s president in 2021. In this role, she is responsible for the countrywide strategy and operations of the Canadian business. Ms. Bieler began her career at Adecco in 2014 and has held several progressive roles in sales and operations. Starting as a regional vice president in Southern California, she moved to the U.S. vice president of Field Sales and then senior vice president of the U.S. Staffing Division with responsibility for 200 full-service locations, Executive Search and Creative & Marketing divisions. Before transitioning into the workforce solutions industry, Ms. Bieler held leadership roles in technology startups and the hospitality industry.
Ms. Bieler is passionate about making the future work for everyone by working with both candidates and companies to develop training, upskilling, and job opportunities for our communities. She has cultivated deep community relationships through partnerships with government workforce and economic development partners, local schools, and organizations like Dress for Success. In Canada, she currently sits on the board of ACSESS and is active across North America as a formal mentor with the Exceptional Women’s Alliance. She is a frequent speaker and advocate on workforce trends, upskilling and development of women in leadership. Her work in this space earned her a feature in the book “Power Moms“ written by New York Times best-selling author and Wall Street Journal career columnist Joanne Lublin.
Ms. Bieler holds a degree from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and currently resides in Toronto with her husband, Drew, and daughters Brie and Emma.
