Our annual Women's History Month and International Women's Day campaign, Your Hour, Her Power, is inspired by the belief that when a woman has access to opportunities that can change her life, she becomes powerful beyond measure.

By giving just one hour of your pay, you give a Dress for Success woman access to programs, services, and tools that will help her achieve economic advancement.

Throughout March 2021, we will celebrate groundbreaking women in leadership positions at a time when it’s needed most.

What is the purpose of this campaign?

We are celebrating the import and impact of the female executive and entrepreneurial leadership. Women play a pivotal and growing role in leading and helping to run companies, a critically important factor in the rebuilding of the economy and in positively affecting social and cultural change. As an organization dedicated to supporting women’s financial independence, this campaign promotes the importance of leadership and empowerment of women for all women.

What is the significance of a March 2021 launch?

We are tying the campaign to both International Women’s Day on March 8th and Women’s History Month (celebrated in the US).

Why should my company get involved?

Your Hour, Her Power is an opportunity to publicly align your company with women’s empowerment, diversity, equity, and inclusion. This campaign offers: 1) high visibility for female leaders; 2) respected brand recognition through a partnership with Dress for Success and O, The Oprah Magazine; 3) community building through employee engagement opportunities with a tie-in to a good cause. We encourage each participating company to use their internal and external platforms to highlight female leadership in their organizations as part of Your Hour, Her Power.

How will our CEO or other female leaders be celebrated?

We will share fresh and compelling content throughout the month of March to include profiles and stories of notable female leaders via a robust social media campaign and dedicated microsite. We will also collaborate with O, The Oprah Magazine, our campaign media partner, to profile select female leaders (specific details under development).

What if my company or organization doesn’t engage in employee engagement campaigns but we love the concept and want to be part of this?

What is the mechanism for employee donations?

Companies can elect to administer Your Hour, Her Power through their internal payroll system or we can create a custom company campaign page where your employees can go to donate.

How will the donations specifically be used?

Donations allow us to continue our mission and serve increasing numbers of women displaced by the pandemic. We operate in 25 countries and have nearly 150 affiliates who have also been greatly challenged by the effects of the current global crisis. Money raised from this campaign will help us deliver programs, which focus on job search support, financial literacy education, and health and wellness. More importantly, donations help give women access to a productive network and safe community.
