Once a teenage mother, Clarissa has overcome countless challenges on her path to building a fulfilling career and empowering others. Her drive led her to Dress for Success, where she enrolled in the Success Starter Program, gaining invaluable skills and resources. Clarissa’s commitment to personal and professional growth became evident in her recent achievement: She won first place in the Central Virginia pitch competition, a testament to her vision and leadership.

Her journey from overcoming the challenges of teenage motherhood to becoming a certified life coach and public speaker exemplifies resilience and determination. Clarissa earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University and is pursuing a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling to become a licensed professional counselor.

As the CEO of Purposed by Design Coaching and Consulting, Clarissa offers one-on-one coaching, group sessions, public speaking, and workshops. She also founded Lifelines to Success, a nonprofit organization providing community programs such as the Beautiful Me Girl’s Empowerment Program and the Journey: Teen Mother Enrichment Program.
